Defying Gravity

This is (or was) arguably the best dramatic show on network TV — barring Lost — and it just got cancelled by ABC. The cast, writing and plot organization is far superior to vaunted new ABC programs like FlashForward and V. The last episode — especially — was a complete cliff-hanger. The crew finally discover their mysterious payload in Pod 4… but we as the audience don’t know what it is yet.
Now, that’s it? Apparently, five more episodes were taped but won’t be aired. What the hell? Sorry. Had to rant….
